Noble Alliance Presents Oreoluwa Osoba
Noble Alliance is proud to present Oreoluwa Osoba, the creator behind @OgaDuke, whose work reveals an extraordinary portrait of the human-animal bond. What began as the act of documenting life with his dog has become a body of work that invites millions of people into a household where affection, humor, discipline, and unconditional love are expressed across the boundaries of species.

In @OgaDuke, the familiar rhythms of family life become a form of creative expression. Through spontaneous storytelling and unscripted moments, Oreoluwa gives shape to a relationship that is at once deeply personal and instantly recognizable. His conversations with Duke—by turns playful, tender, and gently instructive—draw on a distinctly Nigerian cultural vocabulary while speaking to something universal: the desire to love, to care, and to belong.
This ability to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary is what gives @OgaDuke its artistic force. Rather than asking animals to resemble us, Oreoluwa invites us to meet them on their own emotional ground, making visible the subtle language of trust, companionship, and mutual understanding.
It is for this reason that Noble Alliance is honoured to include Oreoluwa Osoba in Textures of an Alliance, our world-first initiative inviting extraordinary artists to explore and illuminate the human-animal bond through every form of creative expression. OgaDuke demonstrates how content creation can become an artistic practice guided by respect, care, and a commitment to advancing the welfare and protection of animals.
A Mother's Legacy.
Oreoluwa Osoba, 30—better known as @OgaDuke—hails from Ogun State, Nigeria, and is of Yoruba heritage. Now based in Lagos, he holds an honors degree in Computer Science. His journey was shaped within a modest household, raised by a single mother who juggled four different jobs to provide the best possible life for her children. From those sacrifices, that resilience, and that unconditional love, Oreoluwa Osoba drew the foundations of the person he is today.
The ordeal of bereavement.
I adopted Duke in 2023 during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was struggling with depression after losing my uncle. I never got the chance to see him before he passed away, and that deeply affected me. I blamed myself for his death, and over time, I became angry with the world. Before I knew it, I had found myself in a very dark place.
My uncle loved dogs, and that was one of the things we bonded over. In his memory, I decided to adopt one. I found someone online who specialized in dog adoptions, and he sent me a picture of Duke. The moment I saw him, I said, "Yes! I would love to adopt him." That was the beginning of our journey together.
At the time, Duke was in South Africa, so we arranged for him to be flown to Nigeria. I still remember the first day I met him. He didn't want to come out of his carrier, so I brought out some treats. He slowly poked his head out, looked at me, came over to take the treats, and then went right back into his carrier. I pretended I was leaving the room, and after a few moments, he finally came out.
I had no idea that this timid little dog would go on to change my life forever. Duke gave me a reason to smile again, helped me heal from my grief, and reminded me that even in the darkest moments, hope can find its way back into our lives.

The turning point, the unexpected help.
While you were going through a period of deep distress and had isolated yourself, he began scratching and barking incessantly at your door. He even refused to eat, as if desperately trying to alert those around you. His persistence eventually prompted someone to intervene. When the door finally opened, Duke rushed straight to you—would you say that Duke saved your life?
Duke undoubtedly saved my life that night. I don’t know how he knew something was wrong, but he sensed it. He came over to me barking and refused to leave my side. He barked, whined, and stayed right there, close to me.
That night, I could feel his pain in his cries. It was as if he were telling me, "Don't give up. I'm here."
In that moment, I made him a promise. I told him that Dad would never give up again.
A Shared daily life.
I believe that Duke is my soul dog—the perfect dog meant for me, just as I am the perfect dad for him. We love being around each other, and we understand one another so deeply that it almost feels like I can read his mind, and he can read mine.
Our hearts are in perfect sync. The love and trust we have built in our relationship are gifts I will always be grateful for. Together, we have created a home built on love, not fear—a home filled with trust, understanding, and mutual respect.
To the world, I may be Duke’s owner. But to us, there is no master. There is only a father and his son.

The birth of OgaDuke.
Our content reflects what life is really like in our home. That’s how I talk to Duke every single day. I’m the Nigerian dad, and he’s the Nigerian son.
We’re a simple household. I talk things through with him, and somehow, he really does understand. Our videos aren’t scripted—they’re simply moments from our everyday lives.
When I started creating content, I wasn’t thinking about success. My goal was simply to show Africans that it’s okay to love your pets and treat animals with kindness and respect. Our pets are family too, and they deserve to be raised with love, care, and compassion.
I am incredibly grateful for the success we’ve experienced, and above all, I am deeply thankful to GOD for every blessing along the way.
From a private relationship to a professional collaboration.
I try to make everything fun for both of us. As long as we’re both having fun, we’re good. The moment I feel like Duke isn’t enjoying it anymore, I put a stop to it. So it never feels like work to us—it’s just us having fun together.

"The Adventures of OgaDuke".
The aim is to teach them about animal rights and help them understand just how amazing, gentle, and simple animals truly are. Animals don’t ask for much—they simply want to live, feel safe, and be loved. By learning to treat them with kindness, compassion, and respect, we can inspire empathy and encourage people to become better caretakers of the world around them. Every animal deserves the chance to live free from cruelty and experience the care and love that every living being deserves.
Cultural perspectives.
At first, they didn’t understand. A lot of people thought I was crazy or couldn’t see why I had such a deep bond with Duke. But one thing no one could ever deny was the genuine love and trust Duke and I share. That connection spoke louder than any explanation I could have given.
Slowly but surely, people began to understand. They saw the way we cared for each other, the respect we had for one another, and the happiness we brought into each other’s lives. What once seemed unusual to them became something they admired and appreciated.
Now, everyone calls me “Daddy Duke,” and I wear that name with pride. To me, it’s a reminder that real love has the power to change hearts, challenge assumptions, and bring people together. That’s the true power of love—it doesn’t need to be forced or explained. When it’s genuine, people eventually see it for themselves.

Inspiring action.
Oh yes, I receive messages all the time from people sharing photos and stories of how they’ve helped stray animals because of the content Duke and I create. Some tell me they started feeding strays in their neighborhoods, while others send pictures of animals they’ve rescued or even adopted into loving homes.
Seeing those messages means everything to me. Knowing that our content has inspired people to show more kindness, compassion, and respect toward animals is incredibly rewarding. If our journey can encourage even one person to make a difference in an animal’s life, then everything we do is worth it. Every rescue, every adoption, and every act of kindness creates a ripple effect, and I’m grateful that our story has been able to inspire that kind of positive change.
A growing resonance.
Our audience has grown far beyond what I ever imagined. Today, we’re fortunate to reach people from all over the world, with millions of views across our content and a community that continues to grow every day. But more important than the numbers is the impact those people are having because of what they see.
I believe our journey shows that the bond between a person and a dog is truly universal. Love, trust, loyalty, and companionship are emotions that everyone understands, no matter where they come from or what language they speak. When people see the relationship Duke and I share, they don’t just see a man and his dog—they see a friendship built on mutual respect, patience, and unconditional love.
I also think society’s mindset toward animals is slowly changing for the better. More people are beginning to recognize that animals are not just pets or possessions; they are living, feeling beings that deserve kindness, compassion, and respect. Through social media, people are exposed to stories that inspire empathy, whether it’s rescuing a stray, adopting instead of buying, or simply treating animals with more care in everyday life.
If Duke and I have been able to play even a small part in encouraging that shift, then that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. Our hope has always been to remind people that a little love can transform an animal’s life—and, in many cases, it can transform a person’s life too.

A noble alliance.
I believe my journey with Duke is a beautiful example of what a noble alliance between humans and animals can look like. To me, a noble alliance is built on trust, loyalty, respect, and unconditional love—not on control or ownership.
Duke has taught me some of life’s greatest lessons: patience, compassion, consistency, and the importance of being present. In return, I’ve given him a safe home, love, care, and the promise that he’ll always be treated with dignity and kindness. We’ve grown together, supported each other through different seasons of life, and built a bond that words can’t fully describe.
Our relationship also reminds people that animals are not just companions—they are living beings with emotions, personalities, and the ability to form deep connections. When we treat them with empathy and respect, they often give us a kind of loyalty and love that is incredibly pure.
If our story has shown anything, it’s that the relationship between humans and animals can be one of the most genuine and meaningful partnerships there is. A noble alliance isn’t about what we can take from animals; it’s about what we can share with them. When that relationship is built on mutual trust and care, it has the power to change hearts, inspire compassion, and make the world a kinder place for both people and animals
